Although I'm now back in Blighty after another epic transcontintental SM beano, the QP is in the hands of others wending it's way back to Eastliegh. It's probably popped the pipe of doom at the back of the engine having heroically just conquered Mont Vontoux. Prior to that it was running beautifully.

I was a heroic effort Eb. It came out of its corner to conquer the mountain like a retired heavy weight champ, only to be struck down by bad luck.

I think you should sell the film rights.

And I believe it had even started to win over the fair maiden Penny before its untimely demise.....

Happy New Year everyone.

Having bought my QP recently - in the summer of 2020 - I have had plenty of time to fall in love with it: Love at first sight really, but a week of driving confirmed it! and the relationship only deepened in the 2 1/2 years since.
But I do regard myself as a new boy with lots to learn about these cars from you guys 2022, the year just gone, has been a time of great learning for me. Thank you for all your help:
The scuttle nut and getting the scuttle off.
The windscreen wipers and repairing their reciprocating mechanism.
The nearside front door and stripping it down.
Then sourcing and fitting a window regulator repairkit.
Then, when that didn't work, fitting a complete regulator assembly.
Then the same again for the offside rear, for which you can't seem to buy the whole assembly.
Underneath the car with trolley jack and axle stands to investigate a bad coolant leak in snowy December.
And when I still couldn't see the leak......

The wonderful Dan is cossetting the car all the way to SportsItalia.

Glad it's mended now. Smiles to the gallon again.
Isn't it good to get rid of that "Make me an offer - you can have it" feeling.
