You all know I'm a Dinosaur and drive older cars.
This morning in my 1980 628csi on open empty roads I had the opportunity to stretch her legs and boy you feel alive doing a 100 MPH in an old car that I don't think can be beaten.
You have to concentrate and really be involved compared to driving modern stuff where you just steer where you want to go.
Having driven Ms French's Audi A5 tfsi which I admit is a nice car to drive being a manual box and fairly quick on the move and I've driven it at speed too.
The Danger for me is at 100 MPH you don't feel your going that fast as it's so quiet in and outside the car.
Anyway just my thoughts.

My 100-year-old Vauxhall can be a bit scary, even at 60mph. The brakes are marginal, and the skinny tyres don't have a lot of grip. It would do 100mph, but I'm too much of a wimp...:)
What a sensation though even at 62 to be in control of that Beautiful Car.

Yes - I call my RS3 a points grabber (although it was in the 'slowest' car within the fleet that I got done) and the sound insulation is so good you can't hear the real gorgesness of what's going on when inside the cabin:(
