Hey that’s not good to hear.
C’mon - there’s lots to be positive about- if u think about things!
You’re 10 years ahead of me and I’m knackered. My rebuild will hopefully get me to your age. Chin up!
I appreciate what you're saying and as long as I can enjoy and drive my car I'll be happy - 'cept I've had two spinal ops in the last 12 years to relieve nerve root compression/irritation in my lower back (fairly common, although I am quite young to be suffering such degeneration - a consequence of my active past!). The last one was 2.5 years ago which included spinal fusion (for the engineers amoungst us I could show a pic - it's amazing what they can do). Currently my physio won't treat me because of my leg symptoms/pain until I've had a scan and following a telephone consultation with my doc he has booked me for a face to face consultation.

Sorry to hear the grief you’ve been through Annie. Fingers crossed you’ll be throwing your car around those cotswold lanes again very soon!

Not funny but odd, the worst I ever got was a stiff right shoulder when I had a Lexus GS300 (one of the worst cars I ever had) due to a poor driver door window seal and commuting Bolton - Leeds every day.

God that hurt for ages, I was like Gladstone Small for months, head turns counted in minutes and fecking agony. Lemsip just didn't cut it. Reversing was pure pot luck.....

I'm recovering from pulling something in my back a week ago. Master Eb posted an ABS work out program on the family whatsapp so I thought I'd give it a go as COVID has not been kind to my midriff.

So, day 1 nice any easy, and to be honest day 5 would have been a breeze a year ago.

Anyway couldn't move on day 6 and have been nursing myself gingerly in and out of any squelchy chairs for the last week. Plenty of cushions... As I keep telling anyone that will listen...don't get old!

Commiserations to all those in any sort of chronic pain.

I recently had a urinary bladder infection which caused me to cease passing urine. Consulted the local shaman who prescribed a course of antibiotic,Amoxycillin, which cleared it up nicely. Had an ultrasound scan of the affected parts & seems a slightly enlarged prostate is squeezing the urethra. I don't mind a somewhat less vigorous stream of urine and I'm wondering whether these urologist johnnies will attempt to take surgical intervention to give me the performance of a fire hydrant ? Not a fan of surgery & especially not in an area so sensitive. Should I see a urologist or just carry on with an old man's p*ssing (I'm now 77) I have Tamsulosin medication if I want to enhance the stream.

You're asking the wrong group of people. Go to the experts and get them to sort it. FFS we can't even agree on what tyre is 'best' ;)

Fortunately only the weather is stopping me from exercising my car in the Cotswold lanes at the moment (and maybe lockdown) - and we all hope that's over soon. Thanks for the thoughts.
