TBH I wouldn't rush back to The Sportsman. It was OK but no better than several restaurants we know much closer.

Mastering an eskimo roll - if I remember correctly, it’s all in the hip action. So you want to swivel your hips when you’re doing the back paddle upside down in the water. And lean back. I must admit I haven’t done them for years, but once you get it, it’s easy.

I used to be good at it but nearly 40 years has dulled the muscle memory! My big issue atm is length of lung capacity; I’m sure I have sufficient but my brain is screaming ‘GET OUT!’

I managed to do one once when I was about 15, I was so shocked at successfully re-surfacing I stopped looking at the topless Germany women for about 30 seconds.

kayaking went well with the roll starting to come together. It is anything but intuitive to do, the instant you are upside down nothing makes sense!

Certainly beats building but the car port is done bar the roof which doesn't arrive until next week
