The good morning thread

Morning all.
Rough night daughter with Covid was up at 2am overheated and laboured breathing. Managed to calm her down and better this morning. All less than 24 hours from first symptoms.
PCR test booked this morning, but know the result already.
Quite worrying compared to her younger brother 3 weeks who had no symptoms at all.
Keep us updated, if that's okay Mike. Thoughts with you and your family. Especially your daughter.
FWIW my brother and I both caught Covid19 during the first wave and both of us have Long Covid symptoms.
My symptoms are mild. His were very debilitating and he's having a long recovery period.
He told me that he were from running 80 odd miles a week, to struggling to move around at all.
But he's building his fitness back. Mainly longer and longer marches. (to indicate pace)
I have no knowledge of any other siblings' experiences, but I suspect this disparity isn't unusual.
Take care.

Good Morning everyone, another early shift, glad to be at work as my body can recover from my DIY exploits. Chasing walls is such a horribly dusty job, but all done...for now. Was thinking of doing a third double socket in the living room but I'll leave it for now...concetrate on throwing cable now and work out the most economical route...

If you have an asthma inhaler they work wonders. Albeit for a short time.

I had long covid and could barely do 7 or 8 miles on my bike, then I was recommended by a cycling coach to take NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) tablets.
They're usually given to Cystic Fibrosis sufferers to help clear their air ways.

The difference they made was truly unbelievable. I only took them for about 12 days and my breathing was back to normal. Obviously fitness had suffered but the difference was night and day with my breathing.
You can get them without prescription on Amazon.

These are what I got. https://www.amazon.co.uk/N-Acetyl-Cysteine-NAC-600-Capsules/dp/B07FDD16K5/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2D7S5FPBINY51&dchild=1&keywords=n-acetyl+cysteine&qid=1626856919&sprefix=n-ace,aps,152&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A17MDI9IJZP3ZQ&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyUEpJNDFRMjlOVzBQJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDQxMTczMk40VlZTVDFENDg3ViZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDMzNTgwMjhDRUdNNk1CMzVKNyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

The down side is that your farts are horrific, but it's a small price to pay.

Hello everyone!

I get my new bike back later, with all my mods sorted. Can't wait to ride it tomorrow.
But better still, godson's third birthday fun in the afternoon/evening.

HapPea Wednesday!

Morning all. Last day in the office this week.
Beach day tomorrow and then working from home on Friday as Alex has a meeting to go to, and as Joseph's nursery is now on summer holidays and his Gran is in no condition to look after herself, let alone him, we have no child care.

Bit warm out there today.

I’d call that an upside:)

Morning, all. Reigate today, then primary cat in for her MOT this evening. No real concerns. I gave her the once over and there's no visible corrosion and emissions seem fine ;)

Have a good one, all

Good Morning guys.
The heat continues here.
The joints were cut in my floor yesterday and boy was there some dust in there.
Household chores today.
Starting to have to wear masks again outside in many areas here now :(
We have cancelled our August break and staying at home.
Stay Safe all.

Morning all, I may or may not have to go to Reading to undertake a repair today, on standby for that.

Have fun all…

Thanks, she had a good sleep last night and it appears the first 24 hours was the worse, still very tired and weak, sore throat but no temperature and no loss of taste.
PCR test as expected came back positive this morning.
Hope that's it with no further symptoms.

Volunteering, looking for inflatables Mark?

The only inflatables are paddle boards like ours. All the immigrants are in a hotel behind us anyway. Made the local news yesterday that the government has hired the whole place for the next couple of months to house a load of them.
