That’s a pain, what happens when this happens as I recall they warned me my last chip could crack.
Do they replace it via your insurance and you pay the excess ?
Insurance will only pay the cost of the non-OEM windscreen - we have to pay the difference (about £500..... - who knows what it would cost were it to happen to the Spyder). Interesting chat with the autoglass technicians tho' - they rarely get soft tops, let alone S2000's and were looking forward, sort of, to the challenge (he had done some prior research). The difference between OEM and non-OEM seals was astounding, so much more flexible. I think he appreciated we had done our research too - they will make a recommendation that all soft tops have the OEM seals.

Morning everyone!

Andy, sorry to hear that. I hope things improve soon. It's really hard for teenagers with so much media about telling them how they should feel that every other voice is so loud and confusing and drowns out their own.

There should be a chap about to leave Cornwall to come a see my Focus ST today, and hopefully drive her away. Well, not like I have to go anywhere or put myself out so the pressure is all on his side to do the agreed deal else it's going to be an awkward journey home for him.

HapPea Friday!

Interesting about OEM, when the screen in my old GTS was replaced it was with an OEM maserati stamped screen. Can’t remover the insurance company I was with at the time.

Morning all. Office bound for a change (never go anywhere these days) and loads to do, and hopefully tie off a few loose ends.

Today makes the 9th anniversary of my meeting my wife, I can't believe she's put up with me for this long!

It's also the day that we have announced to the world that we have another little bundle of joy due on the 2nd November which is very exciting!

So with an extra mouth to feed soon I better crack on and earn some more money!

Congratulations Mark and Mrs Mark, that’s fab news and quite frankly it’s great to hear that someone, somewhere has made use of lockdown and got some ;)

Same for my QP - replaced with OEM. It was also a "special" infra-red blocking one too so the first one had to be send back despite having made several attempts at ensuring that they would turn up with the correct (and even more expensive) windscreen! Thanks to Emblem who pointed this out to me.

I doubt that non-oem exist for our Masers though as the volume is so small.

When the screen went on the Jaaaaag I had a small bet with myself that they'd not bring a heated one. I lost

ST didn't go today even though the chap came up from Cornwall to Oxford!
His BiL joined him, who has a Mk2 ST and ripped it to shreds starting with "The oil is far too clean" (changed 3000miles ago) and finishing with "that has no chance of getting through any MOT". Errr... has he not done his research and found the brand new MOT pass?
Ah well, plenty of other interest to buy this weekend.

That's a long way to come to complain about clean oil and an MoT pass.
