Morning Gents and nice and mild again here after a rather cold spell.
Expecting more restrictions coming our way within the next 24 hours.
Stay Safe all.

Do you think we can discuss your spelling of barmy at all? ;)

Do you think we could discuss that it might have been deliberate, given the audience and the current situation? ;)

Actually, annoyingly I meant to put 'barmy' but must have been hit by autocorrect for the correct word :(

Morning all, a couple of days of workshops to discuss changes to support trade with mainland UK, prediction is that the benefit is just not worth the effort

Trying to get motivated to do a lot of work, then put a few CVs together for a few roles and prep for an interview. Attempting to move roles is hard work, I need to find some motivation!!

Its probably not to be found by flitting the time away on the forum :)

I'm amazed it took me 27 minutes to find your new post, been on a phone call for 15 of them; if you do find any mojo going spare, send it my way please!

Morning all. Late start this morning due to being completely knackered. However, as I'm working from home for the foreseeable it's not so bad.

Work is dead, something to do with schools and hotels being shut. Although I do have a site visit tomorrow!

A few bits to sort and then back to playing trains with Joseph I think.

Having changed industries completely after 20 years of insurance I know how hard it is, but it can be done.
And then I had to change again after another 8 years last year because of what Covid has done to my business.

Whats the saying? "survive, adapt, thrive". Think that was Ed Stafford or Bear Grylls or someone similar.

Something like that anyway.

If you have a positive mindset, you can do anything!

Can't believe it's already Wednesday. My diary, which tends to be right about these things, tells me I'm not going to have time to scratch my backside until at least 3pm, so I've inserted it (so to speak) for mid-afternoon.

Have a good one, folks.

Morning all back to back meetings today but at least yesterday we got the boss to agree that if he wants the scale of change he has planned done he needs to commit to new resources, just need to convince the FD to release the funds now

It could be warmer than we feared - boiler doesn't work as the pump has just broken - yesterday it had become noisy and our heating engineer said it could go anytime (even in five years time) but we ordered a new one which was due tomorrow. But it's just arrived........ now we just hope it works (prices range from £37 to £220)
