Jeanette welt to Lidl this morning and had just loaded the shopping into the car and was closing the boot when a run away car hit her in the knee and pushed her into the boot, cracking the bumper and denying the boot! She has not broken anything but her knee is about 2 x normal size already! Seems the owner didn’t put their handbrake on! So yet another non-fault insurance claim to notify about!

What a bu##er Newton, hope Jeanette will be ok, sounds like a luck escape. FFS don’t want to be heading to A&E in the current climate. Alcohol should ease your frustrations.....oh might dull the knee too.

Good Lord Newton. Glad she is OK. That could have been much worse.

Insurance notified and claim underway. Thanks for kind words, I know she is high on pain killers and adrenaline at the moment. Pretty clear cut case as the handbrake was not on!

anyway car is an easy repair, just a Bu99er as it hasn’t even go 1,500 miles on it yet! We got home at lunchtime to see her and then loaded all the scrap iron down the garage to sell and got to the yard to find they were closing so got sod all £12 for 480kg. Had to take it as we were on route to another job. Got that done and got home for 4.30 to a phone call from the garage, could I bring the Mas in today for the MOT? Guess they don’t want to open tomorrow, quick change of motors and started the old girl for the first time in months. Sailed through the MOT; happy days. Home with a big Maserati grin returned. Now find out I will qualify for almost top pay out from the Chancellor for being self employed :D

Morning all, more local stuff to do solo today, don’t need to do the Mas today following the suprise MOT yesterday. I think I have found my new favourite MOT shop after three years of looking.

Have fun all ...

Living the dream, Phil!

Morning, all. This time yesterday, my diary for today was clear. Today, it's fooked. Not as batshit as yesterday, but not the easy end to the week that I'd mentally planned. On the upside, I feel extremely lucky to have plenty to do and, if this weather warms up as promised, to be doing at least some of it from the warmth of my back garden.

Be groovy, remember that not all that glisters is horseshit and try to smile at animals. Try it. You'll like it and so will they.

Seems a lot of air traffic overhead this morning guys , mostly military i suspect doing something usefull , still feeling a little useless here as the gut in me says i should be doing some front line constuctiveness out there somewhere as opposed to looking for fairies at the bottom of my garden. I feel i ought to be that trainee salesman with his trousers around his ankles shouting I'm the man ..................those oldies out there might remember that clip ................hope it brings a smile to your face in these sad times

Morning all. same as usual. Will try and get out on the bike this afternoon.
Would be perfect if it wasn't so windy down here. And there were so many hills!
I can't believe I've moved to a place where in every direction I have to go up a steep hill in under 5 miles! Should have stayed in Essex!
