Congratulations Newton on your 2nd grandchild.
Quiet day here, well except when I put sport on. Really annoyed one of the neighbours. He drives a Honda so he's clearly given up on life. Nice walk round Godalming, Wey too pretty... ;)

Morning all, yep, cold putting the bins out. WFH today on admin and accounts.

I think I’m well enough today to visit the baby tonight.

Have fun all...

Morning.

A bit achy from the Chainsaw work yesterday and enjoying a good dose of man flu this morning, so a bit less physical today I think.

Maybe I'll put the plate on the new car now ive got the V5.

I should probably call the office and ask if they intend to send me anywhere soon, as I've had 4 weeks off again now.

Morning. Just at the office today, don't think I am hardy enough for the workshop with frost on the ground, but I will be winding up the lads from my warm office.

Zag, Exterior CarCoon, any good?

My GTV is still outside and has got me thinking.

As an employer you have a duty of care for your staff Matt.
There is a minimum workplace temperature unless Boris has removed it already ;)

Yes and no, they do keep the elements off the car but there are few issues some that are easy to address others less so.

Biggest issue is that you have to dismantle the whole cacoon to get a car out which is a pain in the *** if you just fancy a quick blast.

Other issues are minor and just need easy fixes.

  1. The power to the fans is a 3/5" jack plug, as soon as the wind gets up the fans move and the plug comes out. I changed it to a proper clip connector which fixes that issue.
  2. The fans are designed to be removable, they just cilp in with little tags. Once again a bit of heavy breeze moves the cacoon and the fans pop out. I used gaffer tape inside and out to fix the fans more securely since the no issues.

It would be relatively easy for these issues to be addressed by the manufacturer but they do serve the purpose of keeping the cars protected from the worst of the elements.

Morning, all. Well, that was a good weekend. Some bracing walks under blue skies and a few sherbets with Dan! and some womans on Saturday. Now heading back to Midlife's office and then south to Italy for the rest of the week.

Have a good one, all of you. Stay warm.
