Master Eb is currently on a road trip in Scotland in his Fiesta. Unfortunately things have come to a grinding halt as a pothole has claimed one of the front wheels and probably the attached suspension. Car is drivable (he carried on regardless!) but steering a bit clicky and there's a major buckle in the wheel rim so it's a wonder that the tyre didn't deflate.

Luckily its not an alloy wheel, but with no spare it's off to a garage this morning to see what the damage is. Pity you don't happen to be be passing Grantown-on-Spey this morning Newton!

Whoops, that's buckled indeed!

Hello everyone! I have a suspicion that these drugs may be effective. I also have a suspicion that they're rather performance enhancing after my stats on my after-work workout yesterday.

Yep, Eb I can confirm that is buckled mate...

I'd be inclined to knock it straight with a pin and sledgehammer, you won't get it perfect but at least as far as a scrap yard (for a replacement)!

Morning all, Ireland move coming to completion contracts signed and should get keys next week.

BMW needs to be collected this morning, after a complete set of rear brakes, discs, pads and handbrake stuff - other than that a clean bill of health

Good Morning Everyone, nice drive in to work today in the dawn light. Today, I discovered that the headlight on the GT Sport move with the steering. Last Saturday i discovered that there's steering wheel buttons BEHIND the wheel...

It's the car that just keeps on giving when you don't RTFM!

'Morning. Quick update on the Highland wheel buckle conspiracy. Master Eb back on the road with a new wheel, balanced and aligned. No apparent suspension damage. All seems good but a return to the place of incident clearly show a hole the size of Nessie's hoof. The loch cannae hold her no more. She's on the loose. Be careful up there folks.

Oh, and claim form requested from the local council....They should keep a closer eye on their pets.

Morning, all. New car day today. Well, new loaner. The Vantage is in for a new clutch and associated bits and bobs (warranty, thank gawd) and my friendly main dealer is delivering a loaner that they confidently predict will be my next car. I'm intrigued to see what it is. Probably some shitbox old jalopy or a pushbike if they've had the good sense to explore the parlous state of my finances after a blow-out holiday in Asia.
