So, after the main intended explosions were saw an unexpected very bright electrical fire that didn't last very long. It turns out that someone left the old power station that was being blown up attached to the grid. The fireball was the substation for two local small towns. Whoopsie!

Happy birthday to the Ditchfinder General!

Surprisingly not too stiff after the paddle out yesterday.

Got two cars to get up on the lift this morning, clutch cable to replace on the camper and the MkV fiesta to assess and see if it is worth another MOT. Then some fence to build.

Have fun all...

Morning, all. At Langkawi airport heading back to Singapore. I'm going to miss these sunsets.

Problem is they only last 3 minutes.

Morning, all. Just.

Stunning night last night. Mrs C's reaction as we rounded the corner to the Michelin building was priceless.

Dinner was fabulous. More accessible (Mrs C's description) than the Manoir and very nearly as good. Would plan to go back :)

Pleasant hotel on the Cromwell Rd (Radisson Blu Vanderbilt) not at all bad.

Have a great day, all

C

Sorry to hear that, Chris. Back on topic, happily you can get a good 30 minutes out of a decent sunset. More than enough for a sundowner. Camp enough..?

Got the GS into the Far side of the garage off the lift, the camper on the lift and found the clutch cable literally hanging by the core 3 of 12 strands only remaining, removed the old one and all the associated bodges! Replaced with a new one and problems solved.

Fiesta up on the lift and wheels off, front brakes all ok and rear shoes are worn out so handbrake non-functioning. Also rear and middle exhaust are gone.

The upside of not having a lift is not being able to bugger up the kind of jobs that you seem able to do perfectly easily in your sleep, Newton. :)

Cheers Crud, it is perverse but I do enjoy working on motors, particularly old ones like the VW their simplicity is humbling.

Morning all, local jobs today.

Have fun all...

Good morning everyone, great day at Brands Hatch yesterday, shame about the rain but it eventually cleared up. Some rare machines to be seen, and some not so rare machines.
Question is did rockits get any bites?
