The good morning thread

Good morning everyone.
Not quite decided what to do with my day today. I had a bit of a tumble a couple of days ago as some of you may have seen on wotsap. Thankfully my foot is recovering well so with some padded dressing under a bandage and held inside a sock I can walk about pretty normally. Just avoid taking the shoes off if they'd be going back on soon. The cuts on my right buttock and hamstring are two feet long.
In other news, the European MD resigned just after we relocated him to France to set up our brexit office. Kinda sums him up nicely and the company will be much better without him in the long run.
HapPea Thursday everyone!

Can't find the good night thread. Good lord this has been the SNAFU trip to end them all. Delay at LHR, dash for another connection at Chennai. Crammed 1.5 days of work into 1 (sorry Newton, I have much to learn)
Rock up to Kolkata this evening to find that the travel agents didn't think that I'd need top check any baggage.
On a 10 day, 12000 mile trip....
WTF
So that will be £168 for your one , 18kg case sir. Or we'll just upgrade you to business class and give you 40kg baggage.
Oh I'm sorry, sir, we don't accept Amex.
My expenses claim is going to raise some eyebrows I can tell you (fortunately the receipt says 'Miscellaneous"

Have you got a visa for KL sir? Umm no, I'm a UK citizen, I don't need one.
Have you got a visa for India, sir?
A visa? To leave?! I mean, yes, I have but WTFF?

Then security hold my bag because they want to see my watch!

I rather doubt I'll make it to the end of the day in the office in KL!

Good luck. :)

Well, made it to KL. And appear to be allergic to my favourite city. Or I've come down with chikungunya instantly :D

Morning, sleepy heads. I shall most certainly be getting to the hotel for check in as close to 1400 as I possibly can.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning all.
Starting to feel normal again here in Laval before going away again on Sunday.
Got the Boxster going in for its Control Technique today and on its way to getting its French registration.

Morning all, today we are heading up to Kensington to a show for my younger daughter’s year group final projects; University of Creative Arts, Fashion Atelier. Show for families and friends first then they reset and go again for the ‘industry’ & press. A monumental amount of effort on the part of the students, atypical of student life.

So a bit of running around this morning for me, some admin and a haircut, suited & booted before getting mother and mother in law up to and across London which will be fun (one cannot manage stairs, the other crowds).

Have fun all...

Meetings to arrange, and then get the new discs and pads fitted to the Jaaaaagggg, if they are delivered on time that is!

Morning you lot!
Methinks a walk up a hill if my foot will allow it.
HapPea Friday!

What if you only make it half-way up? You shall be neither up nor down, Stevie.

Good morning, world. Working at home today, interspersed with some domestic drudgery and light DIY. Got the Aston booked in at Dub to get a stone-chip dealt with by Danny SVR, polished by Stu from F1 Wax and then the front PPF'd by Dub. The trouble with the Aston paint is that it's a triple-pack job and an absolute bugger to repair without just doing a big front-end respray. PPF is my friend. And the trouble with Danny is that he's booked up until mid-June. Happily he's local to Dub and will drop in there to do the work.

Turnip-scrumping's an extreme sport down your neck of the woods, Crofty. Hopefully you escaped with some juicy ones before your knee gave out. Get out of that field-tent fast, before the natives get out the bone-saw and light the barbecue.
