Yep, they (wastes) get vile in no time at all!

Well it seems my day is going to be taken up mostly going through houshold finances with Jeanette, another one of those things that has been put off for far too long!

With the weather less cold I've finally got my wheels off, thoroughly cleaned and ready to wax. I'm hugely impressed with the Jackpoint Jackstands, as well as the Draper ultra-low profile trolley jack I got Mrs Crud for Valentine's Day. They made the job much easier. Now I just need to distract her so I can get the wheels inside to wax them.

Morning all, seems I have to go to Sittingbourne later to investigate an issue with Nick’s Fiesta which sounds like a rear wheel bearing failure!

Have fun all...

Morning. Another quiet day nursing sick child.

T-minus 10 days till the Strad goes back on the road. Can’t wait, it’s been too long.

Afternoon all. Our night out last night never happened after being let down again by Alex’s sister who was supposed to look after Joseph.
So we all went out for pizza which Joseph loves.
Before then the Jag got its first proper clear which revealed that the paintwork is awful.
Think I’m going to have to learn how to do some paintwork correction. Any tips?

Today we’ve just been to a local farm/zoom thing which Joseph loved. Although I think we’d been better off going to the local JCB dealer as he was more interested in the tractors and diggers!

Been in Sittingbourne all afternoon, managed to find both variations of the fiesta wheel bearings in stock in Aylesford and for it stripped sown to find the drum smashed and the outer housings non existent! So back to Aylesford to get a new drum which fortunately they also had in stock. All on again and done for £50 so it lives for another while...

Yes. Don't wash it again.

A productive day here. Driver's side wheels are in the man cave and have had their first coat of Autobahn, which luckily Mrs Crud likes the smell of. One more tomorrow and they can go back on and I'll get the NS wheels off for the same deep clean and wax. I've had a good clamber round underneath the car with a bottle of ACF50 giving all things metal a squirt and wipe down, especially the various nuts and bolts which were starting to turn a bit brown. Apparently it stays a bit oily and attracts muck and cr4p, but on hidden parts it should do just the job.
