The good morning thread

Good morning - or is it afternoon - no idea whether we are on French or English time as on the ferry (with Roary - except he is below and I hope it is not his alarm that is sounding) en route to Blighty - all good things must pass.

Just approaching midi here :)
Safe travels back home.

Good morning all and hope things went well for Mrs French and that Newton bought a car or two and that Adam is off safely and that Mark got the QP to its spa day, and Martin is being left to his swashing, and...if I've missed anyone, my apologies.

Getting ready to head in to the office. With the relocation, my morning commute is 18 miles, which I can cover in 20 minutes...whereas it used to be 9 miles door to door but took 45 minutes...

Good morning everyone and it's Friday.
Yesterday went really well and lots to think about now before the next step.
Ms French wants to be a a Foster Care and this ball started rolling over a month ago.
It will also effect and involve me but I'm a 100% behind her as we can both be involved at home together.
Exciting times ahead and we want to give something back to society one way or another if that makes sense.
Have a lovely day all.

Morning all, got through another week without telling one of my colleagues what I think of them just need to bite my tongue for another couple of weeks

Morning all, I have found a lovely old drain in Islington to throw money down, I needed to be of of the job there yesterday in order to at least wipe my face on the costs but no it will need both of us there for another full day on Monday. The good news is that the tool I made to drive pins (32mm rebar) worked so well, I will develop it further for other jobs. To drive 30 pins with a 14lb sledge hammer would have required a team of navies and I'm not sure they exist any more! Option 3 involved a petrol auger, postcrete and the shirt off my back!

Today will be a short dash to the unit to do some rope works for another client and hopefully back in time to get some quotes out. At least I got something of a lay in today :)

Have fun all...

Newton mate you really are the Best Tool in your specific Tool Box.
If Carlsberg made Tools and Machines :)

Good morning all, and we come to the conclusion of week one of my new adventure. So far, so good. Girls will be down this evening for the weekend. In the meantime, weather looks like it's going to ****. Proud of you, Phil & Mrs French!

We've seen the Good one of our friends in the village have done doing the same and we want to do the same and I might even learn some more French :)
Ms French has a nice job currently but the commute is tiresome and she really is a Good Soul that has changed my life massively over the last 10 years so we both feel very positive about it and I can still play cars at the same time too.

Good morning everyone and I agree with you Mark on Camping did it once in New Zealand with Ms French and not done it since :)
Have a lovely day all.

We don't camp.

Morning, all. Meant to be run club this morning, but I've either got a cold or some kind of allergy. We'll see if the drugs work.

Then vet (ha!) and urine test. Deep joy.

Have a good one, all

C
