The good morning thread

Good morning everyone, already up, breakfasted, admin done, wheels rotated on the Ibiza and now back on the sofa for a brew. Family lunch cooked by my nonagenarian mother and a small matter of claiming that Manchester will be forever red later today. GGMU!

Depends what your goal is. Less likely to suffer it if you're focussing on aerobic improvements. I'm moving towards building some muscle. You might want to Google sarcopenia. I'm sure if you have a decent PT he'll have some ideas.

Reduction in muscle strength is one of the major contributors to age related degeneration and frailty.

That's exactly why we've decided to do what we're doing mate.
Work keeps me strong and I want to keep it that way.
Did 90 minutes yesterday and going to aim to do it every other day.

Good morning from here...taking girls to school shortly, then back to playing with car(s)...and whatever else I feel like doing (with appropriate permissions).

Warning, parental advice: frustration coming your way.

The flight was overbooked. Fortunately already checked in.
The frecken airline only took 4 bags for the whole flight. The rest is still at the departure airport, incl mine.
To top it, they're on strike Wednesday, so cant get back.

It is not like I'm bl**dy lying on the beach here and have to teach a workshop on Tursday.

Standing in line @lost and found. Zen....

I loved flying blue, but they can *** where the sun don't shine. This is the so maniest time. Was gonna book my canadian holiday this weekend at KLM. They can kiss that goodbye.

I really feel for you as travelling for work is totally different to going on holidays.
I've been messed about more than once and taking my tools to work with always a nightmare.
Good Luck.

The rant continuous: the evening flight supposed to take the baggage, got cancelled. But who cares, they only found the one suitcase, the other is still missing.

Was going to be mission impossible anyway: if they left the baggage of all the passengers on my flight behind, how the @*&£# are you going to bring that here? It's not like they can hitch an extra trailer to the next inbound plane.

So this trip will be utterly useless. By the time I get my stuff, it's time to go home.

At least they booked another flight back on Wednesday, with a 50 mins transfer. So even if I do get tte stuff, won't be arriving home with the baggage. And then there's the coming Wednesday strike...Avoid Schiphol that day and the days after at all cost as KLM does most of the ground operations.

Here's a solution:
Don't bother to pay a few extra quid to the poor sods on the ground who are loading everbodies sh1t on the plane. Hire more over paid managers and board members.

Gonna take a sleep. Maybe I'll be calmer in the morning and can do a domani, domani and enjoy the Italian sun.

Morning. Much the same here. Not sure what the day has in store. We shall see! TBH getting a bit stir crazy as off on hols in two weeks :)

Have a good one, all!

Aaaaaaaaaand Breathe James!

Morning all, dropped the van off last evening for some very expensive works to replace the dual mass flywheel and make sure it hasn't damaged the gearbox or clutches! So my mission this morning is to get and then load a hire van for the week or however long the van takes to fix. Got it down to a still eye watering £350/week.

Have fun all...
