Reminder to self-employed people to do your grant application for round 3 from today; just successfully done mine in under two minutes :) Some new declarations required but I'm sure others will meet them...

A very good morning all.....Just Tuesday.......No alcohol to be sold in hospitality in Wales for two and a half weeks so that's a very quiet Christmas in work. Just had to tell all the agency we have booked to cover peak week we don't need them. Problem is if it all opens again for 3 or 4 days before Christmas we will not cope as the agency will not be available. The joys of supply chain.

Morning Andy and all.
When I saw the Welsh announcement yesterday I knew that was going to affect your work mate and many others.
Saw another retail chain folded yesterday with some Big brand names and 13,000 jobs to be lost.
Stay Safe all.

Morning all, grim indeed. What's the point in a pub with no booze?

More striving today and starting December's Race at Your Pace challenge. 150 miles on the exercise bike!

Have a great one, all

Philip Green / Arcadia / Mrs Green and her £1.2bn tax-free dividend. It's not a certainty that those jobs will all be lost, but the boss's refusal to embrace new consumer ways of shopping (i.e. not always in a shop) certainly hasn't helped the poor sods.

All-day workshop today, from the comfort of my own home. Whilst I'm happy to not need to travel somewhere for an all-day workshop, the challenge remains that everything that won't happen today will just spill over into the rest of the week, which was already pretty hectic.

Back to it. Be groovy.

Would advise caution, some very strict new criteria to meet, of which proof will be required, and they will be investigating.

I have confidence I have answered correctly on each occasion with honest responses.

Morning all, off to East London and West Essex all day.

Have fun all...

Morning all. Todays pre-work jobs were moving the tv and removing a wall light so Alex can do some more painting today. She's actually very good at it (far better than me), so saves me a job.

Then radiator removal in Joseph's rooms ready for the plasterers on Thursday. I forgot how bad the water stinks when it's been circulating in the heating system for years!

Not sure what's on today, not conference calls books, so I guess I'll just have to find some more work.

Hello everyone!
HapPea today as I got a tax refund this morning, which provides a bit of slush for Christmas.
Busy morning dealing with the end of a weekend conference in radiotherapy. It's been done online and, amazingly, they've found a good way to get attendees to engage with each other and with the exhibitors even with it online! Also, being online, for once I can get to hear some of the scientific sessions and not be stuck in the artificially lit exhibition hall.
Looking forward to my afternoon with the godson.
HapPea Tuesday!

Good morning everyone, still in Solihull and still looking at humming machinery watching test engineers break it. Still beats working.

Is it really only Wednesday? Back on the buttons again this morning after an all-day workshop yesterday. What was interesting, whilst we lost maybe 15% efficiency and comms by the workshop being remote, it saved people flying to all be in the same country, hotels, lost time and all that downside guff. So, thumbs up.

Today, catch-up. Tomorrow it's up and out (actually out, like outside, and off the ranch and up the road) to drop the Vantage off for its service, MoT and have the infotainment upgraded to include CarPlay. Whilst I'm no geek-out CarPlay-for-the-sake-of-it fan-boy, having Waze and Google Maps built-in will be so much better than having my phone or a TomTom stuck to the windscreen. I'm looking forward to getting it done but, most of all, to using the bloody car again.

Hopefully tomorrow at dawn will be a lot less frosty than today. It looks bloody taters out there.

Morning all, agree re car play Adam, works a treat in the GS. Just frustrating is still needs the phone plugged in as Bluetooth just doesn’t cut it. Anyway I have more repairs to do today.

Have fun all...

GS Back in storage for winter hibernation... Planned to take it to Italy again this year, but Euro lockdown scuppered that.

MOT history shows about 600 miles in 18 months (6m extension due to Covid).

Fingers crossed 2021 will be brighter in all ways.
