Morning VAT....grrrr

Good luck, Matt. I've been dealing with how to avoid it between here and Germany. Easy enough for now but gawd knows what'll happen after some date in the future. Grr!

Chimneys swept yesterday, and a clean bill of health all round, Hurrah! Today we have a garden person coming to do whatever the h3ll garden people do. I want them to install some round things with plants in them. Hopefully neither they nor Mrs Crud have grander plans than that.

Other than that, another day stabbing away at a keyboard and frowning. Still very much enjoying the short commute and the limited risk of being intercepted by the police en route.

What has Brexit got to do in the slightest with friendship Mark?

I’m surecon 1st Jan the sun will still come up and the Chanel will not be any wider.

You would think nothing, but the way some people talk anyone would think we're about to go to war with Europe!
Just don't mention fishing rights!

Morning all. A quiet one today hopefully. Calls with Spain and Poland and then the afternoon off I think.

All the best made plans and all that.....

War? I thought Boris was building a wall in the Channel or was it a bridge to Ireland?

Could be both! No one knows what's going on these days!

You never know, we might even do a deal! Not the deal that parliament agreed and voted on. Another one. That's not illegal.
Errrr......

Morning all!.........A very early start to meet Student furniture suppliers and an independent removals team at 7:00am at our Warrington campus to get furniture removed off 2 trucks and stored into one of our vacant facilities.........Everything ran like clockwork, on time, no problems and finished earlier than expected!!............Why does it feel so wrong that everything went right??!! Same again tomorrow, hope I haven't 'Jinx'st' it!!

Haha, we got there ahead of him and already built an excellent tunnel underneath the wall, amusingly enough in collaboration with those dastardly French.

Mwoooo-hahahahahaaaaa!

In the interests of European collaboration and moving some money from Europe to the UK I've spent this morning agreeing the outline terms of a new contract with a German-based company which does a lot of business in Latin America. To further help grease the rails of the global economy I have booked my British-made car (although the manufacturer will now benefit from increased investment from another German company) in for a service and infotainment upgrade, including components, licensed from a US-registered company and inevitably others made in China. I have also paid the deposit on a new set of front gates which will be made in the UK, partly from the wood of an African tree believed by some tribes to have supernatural properties.

For my part, it makes me happy to be part of a global community, however tenuous some of those links might be. I especially love the cultural differences between all these weird and wonderful tribes.
