Morning! Today some business planning and cost / revenue modelling stuff, which meant I got to geek out a bit and stretch my brain with some grizzly Excel formulas. Now to get it into Google sheets so others can review and iterate. Also, a trip to Screwfix to collect some new LED kitchen lights, which means that I no longer have no excuse for not replacing them (means lifting the floor in the room above to bypass the old halogen transformer and make sure the wiring is sound; not a fun job).

Yesterday I spent some quality time giving the Vantage a good wash and Hydro Slick treatment. It now has one complete coat. I'll give it a second before waxing. I found a couple of 'chips' in the front PPF, but overall am really impressed at how well it's protecting the paintwork. Whilst I'm sure getting a re-spray every few years might cost about the same, the advantage of PPF is that in the meantime the car still looks fantastic. It'll be going into a local place to get the PPF on the roof replaced - for some reason it's just lost its lustre. I'll be interested to see how good a job they do. A friend in the village had his PF and 458 done there and they look excellent. It'll be good to have somewhere close by that can keep on top of all things vinyl.

Morning all, I have a Scots joke, but I don't want to be banned ;). Outer bands of Isaias pouring rain right now, expected to make landfall right over us tonight.

I have looked at heat pumps, ( air and ground source systems) but too expensive. Would take me c.15 years to recover the investment, so a non starter for me.

Sorry, only just seen this! Not like me to miss a selling opportunity!!

I can do one for between £1,500 - £3,000 depending on how much RHI you qualify for. And I'll even remove the old tank, and get you £600 scrappage from the manufacturer

Should save you between £500 - £700 per year, so we can get that pay back period down a fair amount too

Morning.

Mrs C off to work for what turns out is the last time this morning. Went to the office yesterday to be told she was being made redundant. This is not aligning with our plans for this year, but hardly surprising since she was book keeping / credit control for an office cleaning company and had watched the revenues fall by 80%.

It is what it is, and we'll carry on.

Have a great day, all

Morning all, that is pretty crappy news Chris, hugs to Rachel for us. Happy Birthday to Phil of the Loire. Doggyupdate is we got the histology back and no tumour so it seems it was a grass seed that penetrated his skin and festered! He is healing well and they are happy with progress, they feel it will close without further intervention so don’t want to see him for another 10 days.

Today I am back to Hackney with Christine doing repairs as we smashed the trampoline job yesterday; what a difference it is to have her helping me.

Have fun all...

Good morning everyone,
I've heard the phrase 'your *** is grass' but your dog took it too far. Glad all is on the mend.
Late shift for me today, lie in and £50 for being prepared to have a disturbed sleep.

Morning, all.

Chris, crapy news, but best to Mrs Catwoman and to you both for a speedy and happy adjustment of plans.
Newton, well done to the Hound of the Newtonvilles. Good lad!
Phil, happy birthday, mate. May it be memorable and bright.

Today I'll be dropping the Vantage off to get the PPF on the roof replaced. I'm looking forward to it being a deep, glossy shine again. Not sure what happened to the last one but it was pretty orange-peeley and had lost its deep lustre, and on a black panel that reflected like glass that really troubled my more meticulous tendencies.

**** news Chris. Sadly it seems to be the way a lot of businesses are going right now.
And even sadder, I think a **** of a lot more will go as well in the next few months.
