Good morning everyone,
Happy Anniversary to the lovely Crud couple. Hope you remembered Adam as garages are even poorer for last minute gifts at this present time.
Which bin is it this week or do I wait for the neighbours to put theirs out first? Again! They may be elderly but they do have their uses.

I may have mentioned this before, but we're massively smug. Our bins (all of them) live on the boundary and St Bin simply picks them up for us :)

Morning all, congrats Cruds, an unexpected welding job yesterday on site so spending today writing up instead. Rather subdued following confirmation of the awful news Christine’s best friend’s brother in Guisborough committed suicide on Sunday. One of those times the distance seems great. News extract
Such a lovely family we can only offer sympathy

Try and have fun all...

I'm so sorry to read that, Newton. Suicide is so very hard for those left behind to comprehend. It's a storm of emotions. My thoughts are with you all.

Cheers guys; Christine had met him many times in the five years or so she has known her uni friend, he was 30 something and a college teacher. We have met the parents several times and the girl has stayed with us plenty. I struggle to comprehend what drives anyone to suicide, even the darkest night gives way to the dawn...

I used to think that suicide was the most selfish thing a person could do. They have troubles and just leave them for others to pick up the pieces when they've gone.
Which having been to that dark place I know is utter utter nonsense.

The best description I've seen about suicide is that people commit suicide, not because they want to die, but because they don't want to live their life any more.

Sums up where I was perfectly.
The strange thing is, a simple phone call or a text, "how you doing?" can make all the difference to that persons day and pull them back from the brink.

Very sad news Newton. :(

Philip, you swine! We have rain all day. Can I come round yours to play?

Today I shall doing like what the Catman do. Stuff. Just stuff. A few calls, some prodding, cajoling, bearding and haranguing. That should see me through until the home-time bell.

Morning all, another sh1t day weather wise here

Actually work is not much better just been handed some one else's project only to find that timeline and budget are totally unachievable - a couple of weeks of acting like the grim reaper as I go about slashing scope & functionality in attempt to give us half a chance of delivering any benefit
