Great stuff Crud, talk to the alignment guys and ask for the setup you want, fast road/track or whatever and they will dial it in for you. They love doing custom setups on exotic cars there.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. New tyres and getting the geo checked / fine-tuned will be fun. It's going to be an expensive month, though - MoT and service the following week.

That said, tyre prices at Elite were very competitive. Which was a relief.

Pls can you let me know how much they charge for the Full Geo.

I've used Wheels In Motion Chesham to date, and they've been great

£69, believe it or not. I'm sure if much needs doing the cost could go up. For a full set of PS4S and the 4-wheel geo it's coming to £870. My friendly local Aston dealer quoted over £1,100 just for the tyres (incl. fitting and road-force balancing*).

*I had to look this up. It sounded important.

Congratulations chap.

Now we're waiting for the 'Capes's Mud Warming Party' thread...

Mud this time of year is anything but warm! On a positive note, there is a pub 100 yards away.
We went past it on the way to Dover enroute to Le Mans.

We are thinking about that yes. Minimum we are disposing of 20L a week.

Any suggestions on a good one?
There is pretty well only one manufacturer if I remember from Holland and they are red in colour.
I would contact your local respected garage equipment company.
I used to save fuel from old fuel filters and old oily rags to get it lit and can run all day easily.

I commute daily. Noise cancelling headphones are a must. Go on from the moment I enter the Underground Station, till I step through my front door.

Along with people talking ****, you also get Spanish tourists screaming at each other despite standing next to each other, Americans talking about English history and getting everything wrong...or worse, someone trying to talk to you!

Noise cancelling headphones protect against this all!

(Need to be careful crossing the road though!!!)

Road force balancing!?!

Glad you asked. A road force tyre balancer, a state-of-the-art balancing machine, uses a load-roller to simulate the force of the road, and thereby ascertain the combined uniformity of a tyre and wheel package. Road force balancers measure the force variation and runout of the whole tyre and wheel assembly.

(According to the Internet.)

And here, according to Pistonheeds.

As Elite has a Hunter force variation balancey wotsit I shall be getting it done. May as well.
