We'll have spare boats, so best you get some practice in, London to Dover is quite a long way by water! It'll be good to have you along.

One of these should fit you Dem.... Newton wears them as slippers around the campsite.

If i can Dan I’ll get some practice in, lets see how work pans out etc

It's going to be the trip of a lifetime, Newton!

Since speaking to you last, I've got the kids into Kayaking via holiday clubs and we're buying a couple of fold up kayaks to poodle/paddle up and down the river here in constable country.

Once they're able to handle them on their own, or at least the eldest, I'll join you in investing in a boat for me. And then I can get some regular local practice in of a weekend.

There's a lot of water ways around here, from narrow streams to tidal estuaries, so opportunity to practice on most of the scenarios that we'll experience along the way.

Walton Backwaters, Dan. As well as the beautiful setting, you'll be joined by seals and have the challenges and quite strong tidal flows, if you fancy a bit of coastal practice.

In any case, what an epic trip.

Less aquatic adventures for me today as I'm off to Cambridge to swap a spanky new Vantage which annoys me (delight to drive, crappy Merc interior tech, so many bloody warning bells that you want to get out and kick its ****) for my one which doesn't.

Actually not as expensive a buy as expected, included carbon fibre paddles and mid range gear and a bigger boat than I expected to buy! I went with a Perception but a Carolina as opposed to the Sundance I was looking at. Going to need a roofrack now for sure.

Thanks all for the wonderful support, it is very much appreciated and won’t hurt your wallets for almost two years!

Hi guys, I drew the short straw and will support Laurel and Hardy to the Med. Being forced to spend the best part of 6 weeks behind enemy lines will be trying but I’ll have to grin and bear it. Having said that, I’ll take the odd opportunity to throw rocks at them from the bank in order to stimulate any flagging effort on their part and any flagging spirit on my part, so I’ll make the best of it. I think Operation Cockleshell would be a good name for the adventure, as we have a couple of heroes (Me and Newton) carrying it out. :D

When I speed read 'bigger boat' and 'sundance' I though for a split second you had bought a 'Sea ray Sundance'. Would be a good support craft though!

My pockets are not that deep or daft enough!

Got home and have gone through the safety gear and ‘fitting’ it to my bulk!

It is all a ruse Benny to get you speaking French....

Currently visiting my Dad's, and this afternoon thought that twin electric outboards would better than one! (he had a spare)
My Dad couldn't stop laughing, went rather well but the twin batteries for 24V didn't last long!!

Was rather odd wasn't it, to say the least, was probably more dangerous than what they were trying to avoid with the new rules.
Morning all

Looked at one stage they were all going to get a penalty. Shame it wasn’t a 5 place grid drop for all instead of the financial one as that would have improved the race today. Missed opportunity there.

Good morning!
It looks rather pleasant out there so I should probably get outside a bit.
Ex's wedding yesterday was good fun. I mostly behaved myself.
HapPea Sunday!
