Have had to give it best out there today; just too hot to keep at it. Coming together well, just about 10 lower cladding pieces to go on the outside and it is complete, then to put most of the alternate spiles on the inside, I put the ones on the top curve whilst I had the jig in place so they are done. The whole thing is going the same grey as the porch.

Good morning Andy, work for me too. Flying up to Edinburgh for my monthly day course. The Scots don't do the late Bank Holiday in August nor May so triple time it is. Clock starts now, so having a full English. Thanks MD, This is on you! Fly back late as well so steak tonight before I come back.

Have a great day off everyone south of the border.

Morning all and another day of loafing around San Sebastian.
Ms French fainted yesterday afternoon and that was a scare and no she doesn't drink.
Will be keeping a close eye on her today.

Shocker Phil, keep the fluids up mate. I’m back on my fence this morning until it gets too much then I’ll crack on with the Fiesta.

Have fun all...

Morning all, normal working day in Dublin our BH was earlier in the month. Not too bad as hopefully only a short week as we should get the keys to the new house on Wednesday.

Presumably the flat will be going once you are settled in the new gaff ANDY? Must be a little snug in there at the moment!

Newton, top work! Are you taking bookings..?

Morning, Forum. It's a lovely morning. I'm having breakfast and a coffee to the sound of birdsong. We have a very tuneful wren bouncing around and singing its little heart out. Off up to London today to deal with some admin and a few other things. It'll be nice to do something - in all this heat we've mostly been fairly static.

Have a good day, everyone.

Cheers chaps, Crud, it is like the cars, I have to restrict it to my own (and immediate family) as that list is already endless! This one has been on said list since 2006 when I did the wall and driveway, I still have to deep clean the drive and get it ready to resin bond the centre but I am at least ready to do that as the next major DIY project. A little over 30m2 do I do it myself or pay out £80-100/m2??? No question then, one for me to do myself then.

Failed to get to sleep much before 5am as I was too tired and it was so sultry. Got Adam with me today to tackle a cable replacement on an Ariel runway in Newham and then a couple of smaller repairs.

Have fun all...

Wise man. Mrs Crud in a past life was in law (which I suppose is better than the opposite), and has learned to run a mile when someone calls to ask her advice, would she mind reviewing some dispute or other. She's taken a few, but generally scarpers. My BiL's the same. He has amazing design, build, carpentry skills, but by the time he's done it all week and then in his free time on his own place any requests for help - even paid - are generally met with a cheery feck off.
