The good morning thread

The clue is in the text of the link :p
I did go for a carbon that's not a deep profile (28mm only), is wide to accommodate more forgiving tyres and my commuter tyres and that is recommended for cyclocross as well as road/commuting, so it's pretty rugged anyway and it doesn't look obviousy carbon.

VERY well done, sir!
Sounds like a good choice for a commuter , I stuck carbons on mine and yeah and upgrade in wheel from stock just changed the bike. Enjoy and keep safe commuting.

Apparently it is rotten inside and has become a liability. It must be 200 years old with at least 6 foot diameter main trunk. It has a preservation order on it but that has been over ruled I am not sad to see it go
Any clues as to how to ditch the TPO? I’ve failed 3 times on appeal - amenity value, even though its damaging the patio and house.

Morning all. Been up two hours already with a poorly Joseph. Doctors told us he has gastroenteritis yesterday. And it looks like Alex is now coming down with it.

The only problem is that I have to go into work as have lots of important stuff to do today.

Good luck Phil. Looking forward to seeing what cars you adopt once you find your feet in France. Your Jag was a peach!

Safe travels Phil. Morning all, busy day today, yesterday’s job rolls over, made a Lewis to lift a broken roundabout/springy to change the bearings and found the failure was also a major weld broken! Taking it to a coded welder for repair this morning while I go to get bearings.

Have fun all...

Morning all. After a fab day with the weather yesterday, today is threatening rain.
Tree fellers are here again to carry on their work, it may be done by end of play or into tomorrow morning.
They have done well

Sorry mate, it was nothing to do with me.
The chaps came to my neighbour's house to prune his trees so I got them to do mine (3off) also. While they were here they noticed large fungus at the base of this Beech tree which they said indicated the tree was dying from the inside, out over. They used to work for the council themselves but that department has closed due to cost savings. So they went to the guy at the council who was 'in charge' told him the story.
The next day he came out and confirmed what the tree fellers suggested. Less than a week later they are here cutting it down either completely or at least to a manageable height as the tree itself forms part of a garden boundary. The suspected death of the tree over ruled the TPO on safety grounds because if it had fallen in any direction it would have demolished the house that was unlucky enough to be in its path - including ours. We have been trying for 20 years to get something done about it with little success, so good luck and keep trying!

Hello everyone!
More chasing colleagues who are dropping (intentionally throwing) the ball today. Just had a nice breakfast with a friend and my first ride to work in the dark for this winter. Turns out that bright lights, high vis and high reflictivity clothing doesn't help people see you.
HapPea Thursday!

You could wear your Ronald McDonald outfit, Stevie. They'd see you then!

Phil, good luck with the move and bon voyage to your container.

London office today. Work work work.
