I was 16 in 1977, I can remember the opening scene where the escaping ship came in from the top of the screen chased by the star destroyer and the audience gasping at the size of it.

When I saw the phantom menace which looked 100 years in the future rather than the past I sat there thinking what a balls up , and jar jar ******* binks:eek:

I did find it quite amusing that somebody re edited the whole film removing him completely then put it on a torrent :D

Just watched the Matt Damon film Downsizing.

Great easy to watch film and a bit out there but maybe not beyond the realm of possibilities.

Lovely soundtrack too that I have just downloaded and will enjoy listening to.

Taking my two eldest sons to Le Mans 66 tonight in Oxford. I noted the earlier enthusiasm on this thread and looking forward to it!

The Gentlemen
5 stars ,absolutely brilliant

Well written, very well acted and very funny(in places) , Guy Richie's best film yet IMO

Just been to the cinema , something new to add to the yes that's pissing me off list of crinkly wrappers, popcorn, mobile phone screens & talking

******* smart watches, a bald guy kept rubbing the top of his head , only whever he moved his ******* wrist his watch lit up , which he then rubbed all over his noggin for 20 seconds every 5 ******* minutes right under my nose

Luckily the film (star wars) was total **** so I gave up and left , I had no idea who anyone was except carrie fisher and chewbacca who are both dead so it was just running , illuminated sword fights and laser guns

Just back from watching The Gentlemen. It’s an absolute belter. Brilliant.

Unlike the Irishman, which was dull and long.

So if you want to see a gangster movie, Guy Ritchie is your man.

I've watched The Gentlemen twice now and could easily sit through it again , Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant are brilliant in it.
Film of the year (so far)

all part of the experience ;), every now and then we get a pack of pikey kids at the Odeon that cause problems both inside and outside, quite amusing actually and entertaining when asked to leave

I agree. Though I am a little biased as Guy is a buddy of mine.
Looks like I'm going again as Mrs Wack wants to see it.
I actually enjoyed it more the 2nd time as I missed some of the film references, bunny , incoming :D
