So when we get back from Le Mans next year, we can don our leather jackets, raybans and jump on a GPz900 and ride to the local multiplex

Although i cannot see Kelly McGillis in it 'to take our breath away'

I am off to see LeMans66 tonight at The Odyssey, St Albans, a revamped 1930’s delight with proper comfy seats. My preference would have been The Rex in Berkhamsted, which is also a 1930’s wonder with exec chairs and tables, bar service and cheese and biscuits served at you table. Can’t wait - wife is driving so a few beers can be sunk !
Just found out that a colleague of mine whose father was a racing driver back in the 1960’s was a good friend of Ken Miles and they built a race car together - he has been contacted by someone researching Ken’s life for a book - cool
That car is currently dismantled somewhere in the NE and he is off to see if he can buy it, he won’t tell me what it is, watch this space .....

Wow what a Story and look forward to seeing more of this.
Would loved to have met Ken Miles as a mechanic and amateur Motorsport competitor.

managed to watch the Irishman last night in between my wife busting my balls about hogging the main large screen tv, long but very enjoyable, reminded me of the "kill the Irishman" which is another bloomin good film about Danny Greene, it's a must see if you haven't

I dont know if I can be bothered with it , though of all of them I thought rogue one captured the original trilogy feeling the best , I really enjoyed that one , the rest, meh

Just watched Two Popes on Netflix - another outstanding movie, great acting, humour, locations and an intriguing story. Only one helicopter though.

I'm a bit conflicted. Been so disappointed with the others, although the feeling was there (if that makes sense) the plots and acting were so dire (yeah yeah, Citizen Kane it never was).
One of my pals, whose views I trust, quite liked it. Others have said exactly what I expect.

Maybe if we get bored over the weekend we might go, and I'll watch the last vestiges of my childhood be torn apart and stamped on.
