OK, let's bring this to a head, a 2001/2 3200 AC with average mileage is worth around £20K if in good nick and they are appreciating, how much was a 2001/2 4200 in the same condition again..??:goodnews:

Good point Rob.....4200's are def going South looking at classifieds.....3200 AC are holding steady....normal 3200's....Well good knows what is happening to them as they are all over the place.....Great ones seem to be at 13/14kish and some dealers are trying for more....Bad sit in the classified and you can not give them away.

I think the 4200s have picked up again......condition and proof of high level of care makes the difference....a dog of a supercar is almost unsellable

There is a shortage of 32, 42 and GS coupes at the moment; most advertised have been for sale for a long time...in fact the blue and silver ones on AT for almost 2 years now.

As P says a good one will keep it price, but poor ones will continue to go down. I saw one local to me and although a 2005 had the worse case of rust on the boot lid I have ever seen...but the inside was one off and stunning. I also saw a 3200 described as mint...more like a polo with the hole due to rust again.

So someone took it down......well done whoever it was. Why doesn't Pistonheads (or anyone else for that matter) have better controls on these con artists. It was put up again on Friday and was there until Monday. That is 2 days plus to catch someone out, get a deposit and run off with the cash. They are of course relying on someones greed at getting a bargain and that is of course why it is worthwhile. I saw the same/similar advert for an Audi TT last week, probably the same people. Heck, they probably have dozens of similar adverts. They wouldn't bother doing it if it wasn't profitable!! Makes me cross!!:frusty5:

It is all relative, a good car is a good car whatever the model. Once the dogs gradually dissapear and they will before long, then the market should be more stable and the prices subjective. If anyone is a serious Supercar buyer, they want something that is special and they are prepared to pay for it. The lower priced older cars can be good for a hands on chap to take on as projects, but the "lads" who want one and not to pay too much for it are just heading for trouble. They will not service them properly and do stuff on the cheap, finish up wrecking the car and be lucky to come out in one piece, it's a shame but that's the way it is..!!
