not in to boats, but if were it would have to be the miami vice one, looked a real beast, loved seeing that thing flying through the water with crockett and tubs, some great night/dusk footage as far as i remember

Chris Craft Stinger and Wellcraft SCARAB in later series I think

One thing I learned from my power boats was that many people are your friends suddenly.
Never there for the preparation and cleaning and certainly never get their wallets out when you refuel.
so true but then you find who your friends really are still not as bad as funding power boat racing

My favourite (and vaguely affordable) boat at the Show. The Cormate 23, beautifully made in Norway. Perfect family day boat.

Same here phil, like flies around sh1t. Nowhere to be seen when your putting 50 litres of fuel in the tanks or flushing and cleaning down afterwards.

Must admit Ewan. I'm also very taken with that. I love a boat with classic lines and this is exquisite.
I had a look on YT and found this
short review.
At sea it looks even more beautiful and besides all the looks and practicality, get this.
Three petrol engine options. In the review, they have the middle option of 250 hp and
from that, you get 50 knots. FIFTY KNOTS! The 350 hp version does over 60 knots.
That's insane for a day boat. The review dates from 2017, so there may be a few floating
around, for sale at a decent price.
*Yep, new 250 hp boats (as above), for sale by distributor for £50k and maybe you might
squeeze another £5k off? ;) *

The UK distributor, Nick, is a friend of mine, so deals are available! Stock is thin though.

She appears to not be very coppery. Surely some mistake.

What’s the price range?
It is available with a copper bottom!
A high spec model with the inboard engine is circa £85k. A lower spec one with an outboard instead is quite a bit less - maybe £65k (depending on engine choice).

Cheaper end of the scale, no maintenance apart from a wash, Buster boats. Aluminum, unsinkable if holed, and a lot of fun. I had one for a few years. Didn’t lose much when I sold it.

Excellent! I'm all for not spending winter scraping off barnacles.

Inboard engine for me. Sadly this is a next year thing. Apparently we 'need' a new kitchen.

As some may know, I live on the Cape Fear river here in NC. The area where I live is very sparsely populated. As homes are rarely seen, young ladies are often observed sunning au naturale on the bow of boats. I hate to admit an almost pavlovian response to the sound of an outboard.....
:)
That explains much! I have a rather statuesque lady friend who lives in Raleigh during the week.
But at weekends is often to be found 'fishing' off an equally sleek bass boat, off Surf City, NC.
