Just hung my first ever original painting purchase. Local artist Sean Durkin, in the style of Lowry. There’s a slightly comical background story to the Durkin family and Lowry.

Bit weird how it looks small on photo but it’s actually huge, 50” x 40” really chuffed with it.

My only other footsteps into the art world are an original print of Stephen Wiltshire’s London panorama, again very large print.

What other art are we rocking across the forum?

I like that a lot.

We went to the Gormley show at the RA not so long ago. Was seriously tempted by some prints.

Decade or so ago I bought this - Picasso Lithogrph 9/180
Quite unusual as it was signed twice, Think he did it when he was at Kindy given the skill level involved.
I figured he wasn’t gonna do anymore so hopefully will increase in value. It’s the only thing in our house older than me.63217

The very same. Still not seen that, but it's on our list.

Went to 'Another Place' earlier this year. Bloody great

I must have driven past the angel a thousand times lol. Was another place the one with statues in random places including one of himself on a beach?

I certainly don't want to p*ss on anyone's parade, far from it, however, re: the world of art, in the many forms it takes, and, with a very heavy dose of ignorance, can someone explain to me the difference between "inspired by" and "plagiarism". The OP's "Lowry" for example.
