have to apologise for being a maserati driver but not knowing the part i need

i want that part that the wipers sit on or are just there on it, its plastic black that goes along the windscreen, mines cracked and wanted to buy new or used, do you know what its called so i can look for it??

Its a plastic thingy unless it's on a Maserati, when it morphs into the labour of a craftmans time and expertise. So yours for the bargain price of £135.16. ROBBING B******S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every 3200 I have looked at has a cracked one, bet of luck at the second hand parts bin

Dem, the equivalent 4200 part is £45.80!! Wonder whether they're the same?

Nope, 3200 3 piece item, 4200 one piece.

3200 held on with allen screws with protiding heads, 4200 contersunk posi-drive screws...where my Anorack then!...oh and 399 post so just 4,650 behind Andy K!!!!!

Though the 4200 is three pieces? One central behind the wiper arms and two ill-fitting side moldings?

i like that idea miles nearly went looking for the 4200 but s ruined it, thanx s your right its 2 different parts

It's called the scuttle panel and yes every 3200 I have ever seen has the cracking and lifting corners. Think it's about £90 for a new one.

Dem when you install the new one put a rubber gromit or washer inder the scuttle pannel where the screws g,o then gently tighten it down this will avoid the cracking in the new pannel. I was given this tip by of all poeple an autoglass tech after I asked if he had ever worked on a 3200 before. After explaining he had worked on at least 20 3200's he pointed out the cracks in mine and said they are all like that. At that point I left him to get on with repairing a couple of stone chips in my screen before I made an ever bigger **** of my self
