Well dogs can exist on a vegan diet, being omnivores. I am given to understand that cats, as obligate carnivores, not so much although it may well be possible to formulate a food that woul support them and yet be vegan. Whether the little sods would eat it is a different matter entirely.....

I swear my cats can read the label, anything that says ALDI or Tesco is rejected immediately.
David Sedaris had a lovely reply to veggie pet owners..."Oooh your dogs a vegetarian! Just like you, what a coincidence!"

You're not wrong. Ours have different foods (with programmed feeders). Thick one will eat pretty much anything that is not actively trying to eat him. If we put his food in her bowl by mistake. Even if we immediately take it out, wash the bowl and put her food in she will NOT touch it. Has to be a fresh bowl and about a week of decontamination <smh>
