Hi, anyone had the FD sway bar or alternative installed? Would like to have the car (4200 CC 04) a bit more stable through the bends. Have seen good reports in the US forum about the FD springs + sway bar but our roads in the UK are generally more challenging than theirs with pot-holes, speed bumps etc all over. Fitting a sway bar seems like a relatively low cost and easily reversible mod so if you've done this please share your experiences. The target is just tightening up the feel on bends, don't want a significantly harsher ride as I find that generally the regular mode around town is pretty good and sport an improvement for the A roads but still retains a bit too much body movement in bends.
cheers

Not fitted the FD sway bars. But I have a full set of poly sway bar bushes on the way to me from FD to fit to the standard bars front and rear.
I'm interested in any improvement that this may have at a very modest cost compared to the $1500 price tag of the bars.

I'll let you know.

Stylo - Heres a good review of the Formula Dynamics Sway bar kit

http://www.maseratilife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9423&highlight=sway+bar

The consesnsus being that the sway kit improves the handling but not at the expense of ride quality. The deterioration in ride quality will only come if the spring have been lowered significantly.

If you have any further question then please feel free to ask, the Sway Kit has been so popular in the states that FD are soon releasing a kit for the QP and GT aswell.

Thanks
