Hi Guys,

Help out a luddite would you....?

Will shortly lower my car followed by a geometry check. I can see what appears to be the right part (No.7 on page 45 of Eurospares) for the front suspension adjustment but I'm d@mned if I can find the rear spacers......

Give me a clue?

Cheers, Miles.

Miles,
When I pulled apart the rear subframe in the 4200GT there were dozens of shims all over the floor! Sort of large washers with the hole routed out to a 'U' shape so that they can be slid in between the wisbones and the mounting lugs.

Cheers Duncan, I saw those but couldn't figure out how they would control camber?

Hi Miles,

Looking from the back of the car, there are two U brackets that are bolted to the subframe on each side and provide the pivot point for the lower wishbone, the shims go in between those and the subframe. The rear one on the right on my car keeps coming loose, that's how I know about them. Those taken together will adjust the camber. More spacers in there mean more neagtive camber...I had to have some taken out. I think when they've done that they should then adjust the toe-in and finally recheck both as they're slightly interdependent.

Cheers,
Alan
