Suspension Question

So the one thing I’ve eally noticed moving from a Jag to a Maz is how low the car rides. Whenever I hit a speedbump or a bump in the road the undertray scrapes (not helped by the fact the suspension is so soft it’s like driving a waterbed). Is it possible to stiffen the suspension and raise the car a few inches to give it extra ground clearance without it costing a fortune having the springs replaced?

Mine isn’t soft, and doesn’t catch very many road obstacles, it’s usually only the 2 sacrificial spoilers in front of the wheels that scrape.

Same (1). In fact I'm always surprised when I drive Mrs C's Giulietta how imperfections in our local roads I avoid in the Ghibli I can attack in the Giulietta. Of course she has much higher profile tyres as well as anything else.

(1) Had some issues with non standard exhaust clamps but now they've been replaced...

I have 20s and no way would I describe it as soft. And if it's that low, I wonder if you have a cracked spring, or turret.

Possible. I was driving back up the A34 on Mon and every time I hit a dip in the road the ride felt like the space shuttle Columbia re-entering the earth’s atmosphere.

That sounds wrong. On A roads I wouldn't describe mine as anything other than pleasingly informative. Certainly A1 at 77 is just fine
