SuperCar Sunday or some other northern get together

So its getting lighter and dryer and wanted to see how many northern friends we have to arrange a little meetup/drive around the north west. (southerners are invited of course to sample excellent food and low cost beer)

So not sure if SuperCar Sunday is back on at Mitton hall this year or we look at some other event/date to arrange a meet of some lovely maseratis in shining glory and of course go for a spin.

Who is within 50-100 miles of Manchester/Lancashire way and wants to grab a weekend beer.

I was just thinking the other day that there seems to be plenty going on elsewhere but not much for us northern lads. I'd definitely be up for a meet.

Coming from Newcastle I have some sympathy with that view.... when I saw you had posted I knew I was going to be in trouble! It's still more northern than most of the people on here.

Dates and work permitting I'd be up for heading north. Depending how far north we're talking, naturally. I generally get light-headed around Leicester.

LOL good to see some banter around the north, Ill chase up on the dates and see when its happening and reply back to the thread.

I live 15 minutes from Skipton and can be in Mcr/Leeds/Harrogate/Lakes in an hour so Im open to location, let me see if SuperCar Sunday is happening and then use that as a starting point.

I'm Northern but stuck for a few months of heavy work, unless we can pick a day I can cast stuff aside and get out for a bit. We have had Northern meets very well attended in the past, if anyone wants to have a go at organising I will gladly go for that until I am free of stuff going on..!!

I live near Glossop which is right at the joining point of Derbyshire, Cheshire, West and South Yorkshires, so most of the locations you suggest are do-able in a day for me.
Please keep me informed on dates, times. Thanks

My oldest school mate lives in Glossop, Fraser (with a very Scottish surname, as in old and owned a farm....Ei, Ei, Ow)

Long shot you may know him, married to Catherine, 2 kids Grace and Beth, he's in property.

Thought I'd bounce this one back up to see if there had been any progress. If I remember Supercar Sunday was in September so probably a bit far away.

Alternatively, a few of us have been to the Cars in the Park as below:

I appreciate it's a bit far for some of our more westerly brethren but there was an interesting mix of cars at the last one. Pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52492352@N08/sets/72157648126031481/

As you can see from the pics the one in September at Lotherton Hall was lovely. I suspect not quite so much fun in the rain. I'm hoping to be there but it's my son's birthday so need to check to see if he fancies it.
