Gave the TVR a run to Brooklands this morning. Around 15 TVR's but only half a dozen or so Maser's there.

The event had plenty of variety but the highlight for us was spending an hour or so walking around the closed Historics auction cars. We didn't realise until walking out that it was a private and closed from the public area. Much more interesting stuff there than most of the typical new modern supercar stuff. They must have just had an auction this week.

The Ford GT40 replica was the highlight for me. My son managed to get a sit inside. Spent a while talking to the lovely couple from Billericay that had spent 3 years building it. Not a single rubber or nylon bush anywhere. All solid machined metal rose joints.

They said on track at full tilt it will about 4mpg with a high at best of 17mpg possible.

The GT40 is certainly on my shortlist for a build that I will do at some point in the future.

It was registered as a new car in 2016 with first MOT this coming week.
