Costs a few grand though to set up....but only used as a last resort to stop you loosing your license....but if you could avoid punitive, victimising taxation on your pride and joy why not!

The Cash, Black Market in Italy has been a massive problem for a long time.

It's a deeply ingrained, cultural way of life in many parts of the country....and part of the reason why they find themselves in tough financial times.

Don't blame the Government wanting to collect on taxes that should have been paid. Never thought I'd say that, but there you go.

Afterall, if you've paid your taxes, there's no reason to want to sell your supercar or fear being asked questions by police.

Agree Bell....seems to have been a big problem in Greece too.

But its diffciult to change an eon old culture of not giving due taxes to the state.

Especially if the successful or hard working or the risk takers have pro rata a huge proportion taken off them................people get dis-illusioned ......endlessly....can't see a way around it so take the criminal route

Light scrap/fight in street
Drunk and disorderly
Hate to say this but........drink driving

What they are very strict on is.....

Nicking in shops
Not tipping well in a restaurant
Not standing up when someone older than you walks in a room (you could get a policeman beating you up for that)
Not going over 100kph on motorways

Adam,
Yes I had heard it too, a few times.
Dem,
Not quite the BBC propoganda, it's worldwide propoganda mate. If they could get the Turks to clear off and they could get at their oil in the Med, then all would be sound, but I think that's some way off.
