Sunroof wind noise

My car (QPV) seems to exhibit what I think it is an unusual amount of wind noise coming from the sunroof. Past 100kph it is proper loud inside with the sun cover open. Also leaks a bit inside during car wash (but this is another story for me to check the drainage).
Searching around I didn't seem to find a definitive root cause.
Should I bother with spending 500 EUR on a new gasket (68804500) or is it one of those things that all cars have and we need to live with it?

I would be checking that the current seal is fitted/seated properly before spending that much on a new one.

Cycle the roof a few times and check along the profile if the roof for any gaps or high points.

Also use an electronic tooth brush (with an old head( to clean the current seal. Make sure you cover the opening with a towel, then using washing up liquid and the aforementioned brush clean the seal and adjust the roof opening to gain access to all the edges.

I get the same thing with the sun cover open. The sun cover provides the sound deadening when closed.

Once it’s all clean and you are sure it’s fitted correctly, it’s worth treating it with a proprietary rubber treatment - liquid moly etc…..
