Did a lot of work on a Mondial in New Zealand very simple to work on compared with many exotica and very nice to drive I felt too.
Not the prettiest or the quickest but a good pick in my opinions.

Today I have been giving semi serious thought to restoring three very personal icons, all of which I’ve enjoyed driving in the past. One I’m fascinated by the colour

There’s a lot of Toyota parts in them. At least you know the gearbox will work and the wheels won’t fail off!
That's right, Toyota had a major shareholding in Lotus at the time, and apart from the Lotus twin cam engine, the drivetrain was all Toyota, including the wheels.
There was a very rare same era Supra at the NEC too.
