I saw that post but didn’t really understand it.

The best I could make of it was that he didn’t like paddle shifts... but I still couldn’t understand why he thought anyone else would give a stuff what he liked!

Still does!

I've had a recent flurry of interest which may or may not come to anything. In the meantime I've decided to try the Collecting Cars site. My experience so far with them is positive, photographer came last week to take loads of high quality photos. I'm selling to free up some extra cash for a property purchase, so the way I'm looking at it the car will fetch +£15k on the sale price due to the stamp duty holiday.

Hi, PM'd you about your car

It's a beautiful car in every way. Almost embarrassingly immaculate and should embarrass any brand new car in a showroom. Whoever buys it will be very happy.

Unless they're in any way shy, of course.

There was a yellow GS on the Maserati International gathering in South Africa earlier in the year. It looked stunning. See the pics in the latest issue of Trident magazine.

Very surprised this lovely example is still available, even with the whole horrid COVID affair.

Not sold, according to the website, so presumably it didn't make its reserve. Which I find quite surprising, on my completely made up assumption that the reserve was circa £20k. I would haver thought it was worth that all day long.

I can’t understand the logic of some of the sale prices achieved on collecting cars, but it does seem to drag good prices out of the market. A 23k mile Mk2 Golf GTI just sold on there for £19750, so £21k with fees. The same car had been languishing unsold on Autotrader for the past year or so at £21k or near offer.

I spoke to them about selling my 2007 GS LE - they said I could set the reserve as I wished, but suggested a £17k reserve to encourage interest. I sold it privately within a few weeks for more than that but under £20k. Given it was a lovely car and well priced it was more hassle than I expected though, and I had to deal with a few timewasters to find a buyer.

I wouldn't say they got a good price for this one... https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2006-maserati-gransporto_O

Not to be smug, but we had a high bid nearer £20k for this same car on Trade Classics!

I did wonder if it sold through that auction house. I take it this is MAF selling or did it sell and this is the new owner. Great pictures.....As I've said before this is a peach of a GS and at this price probably not another to touch it currently for sale. Add the fact it's one of the best colours what is not to like.
