Been watching Downton Abbey again from the start and really enjoying it even though watched a couple of times but it's escapism.

I was a bit bored by Downton when it was on originally, but I really enjoyed re-runs earlier this year. Well-made passive escapism. Plus its always lovely to see (and hear) Jessica Brown Findlay.

Life on Mars, TV series 2006, saw it at the time, didn't appreciate how deep it is, very deep, missed loads first time around. Recommend a re-watch to anyone who saw it yonks ago...

Transfer from Hyde, Jeckyll and Hyde, split personality, could it be Gene Hunt is his comatose mind's embodiment of his darker side - Gene Hunt, hunt for his genes? Clever stuff!

The only period drama I cared for was the Red Dwarf version of Pride and Prejudice.
Specifically the scene where Kryton drives the main battle tank out of the lake and
takes out the gazebo.
Priceless.
