I am rather enjoying Happy Valley although nowt happy about that place.
One side of the Ms’s family is from Halifax so we have to watch it. God it’s depressing. Have you ever noticed how all the Yorkshiremen who go on about how fantastic Yorkshire is don’t actually live there!!

That's what makes it great, bleak and depressing makes good TV

Most people that don't live in the area they grew up in moved for work, doesn't mean they don't think the county they were born in is fantastic

Well, then...watch out for my new show: "The Will to Live"

It's about a group of the idle, extremely rich who decide to hold a round-robin Russian roulette tournament; the winner gets to consolidate the holdings of the lot. And it's held in a rambling estate on a misty moor, atop a cliff, and above a quaint town where the brassy barmaid at the local pub has a secret that will blow the lid off the entire government. Also aliens, and a talking rhinoceros who may or may not be the hallucination of a small child who figures prominently. Brought to you by Pontiac.

The Grudge on BT Sport. Great piece of work just in time for the Six Nations.

Plenty of old cars and tunes in the background.

I was blown away by the latest "g*y" episode 3. Its just.....good

Is it? I genuinely don't understand why. All I got from it was it's been 16 years (if I added correctly) since the infection and here's where Joel gets a truck and a load of other stuff. It just felt like a break in the narrative arc with no real purpose.

But happy to be educated

Watched Max Von Sydow in his final role playing a survivor of the Kalavryta massacre in Greece

Echoes of the past, it's told in flashback

Worth lives up to the thread title. Film on Netflix. Another very strong Michael Keaton performance up there with Dopesick. Also includes the brilliant Stanley Tucci.

Also enjoyed Kaleidoscope on Netflix - a clever heist series with Giancarlo Esposito, who I think about every time I clean our deep fat fryer after cooking chips.

I heard it mentioned on Radio 4 today, that John Cleese and his daughter are planning a remake of Fawlty Towers.
Fawlty Towers was recently voted (by whom, I'm not sure) the best British television comedy of all time.
Quite rightly too, I believe. I cannot think of anything better.
Obviously Mr Cleese can do as he pleases. However, having stopped making the original after only twelve episodes and
not milking it until the ratings declined. I can't imagine how it can be improved upon. And why do it, if it's only going to be
'less' than the original.

With our Dan learning to drive we were talking about a documentary that was shown back in the late 1990’s called Driving School. It follows people learning to drive and is hilarious in places. Did a search and found it and watched all 6 episodes last night. Worth watching for Maureen and her husband. They had us crying with laughter back then and still did last night. How things change as well with no reversing around a corner which let’s face it is dangerous with in coming traffic and no 3 point turn any more.
