Bad Sport on Netflix is an interesting series. I don’t remember many of these scandals but it’s interesting seeing the back stories from the people actually involved.

THREADS the 80's film about a nuclear war. Found it on Youtube after following some links around a remastered version of When the Wind Blows, the great internet rabbit hole.

Same guy that did The Snowman, I think. Was based around his parents. Very depressing, and more so at the time

I’d seen When the Wind Blows as a small child but never Threads. My parents must’ve spared me that, although I was reading some school children saw it? That would’ve given most nightmares and imagine a double bill?

Laughed at the burning man on a bike up a tree on Threads.

The plot line is quite realistic; I recall my training in the police on how to measure your radiation doses with these silly testube things whilst donning your rubberised poncho so you could keep patrolling your beat... yes, like the first thing I would have done in the event of a 3 min warning is go to work in Accrington... place was already a waste land before and nukes.

Quote from BBC iPlayer, "Showtrial. From the production team who brought you Vigil."

This time around, will they be recycling Judge Judy, Judge Rinder or Judge Dredd?

“Night Teeth” a new film on Netflix, the main vampire character drives around in a tasty sounding modern Maserati Ghibli throughout the film.

Also on Amazon prime is a new Mark Wahlberg action film “Infinite” with Aston Martins and a Ferrari Testarossa on the first opening scene, being thrashed around and eventually trashed….

Watched "Queen of Speed" on sky yesterday and a few things come to mind, firstly those days of WRC were just the best but how bonkers were the crowds, secondly forgot how aged looking (in an 80s way) both Michelle Mouton and Fabrizia Pons were, thirdly how both of them have aged well and still good looking and finally how much able ******** there was in those days Vatanen and Rohrl could face being beaten by a woman and the Americans at Peaks Pike did everything to save their pride by penalising her when ever they could but no avail.

Also didn't realise she is the only woman to have ever won a WRC rally or that she is the only woman to win Peaks Pike - how than be the case that in nearly 40 years no woman has repeated either.

Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet
