"Laurel Canyon" on Amazon prime.

A documentary about the village in the hills of California in the 60's that produced legendary music and cultural icons of America.

Crosby , Stills, Nash and Young , Joni Mitchel , The Doors , The Eagles and the back drop of the Manson murders .

Brilliant documentary if you are into you music . What a time to be alive!

There’s a nice 30 minute podcast on BBC Sounds with Laura Marling celebrating 50 years since the release of Joni Mitchell’s album Blue.

Chappaquiddick the Kennedy scandal , very good , if you had enough money back then you could get away with anything

You still can
Cameron, Andrew, Maxwell et al and that is just this week
I think walking away from a potentially drowning girl would be pushing it , especially as they think she could've been alive for some time in an air pocket before suffocating , IIRC she was found dead but not from drowning

Vigil (6-part submarine drama) on BBC1 and catch-up is epic. Same team as Line of Duty and Bodyguard.

Watching Vigil, it’s excellent.

Another we have found is Clickbait on Netflix, well written and gripping.

Just watch out for Pia’s late night me time in S1E1, even made me gasp.

I work with someone who was a submariner.

Don't really need to say what he thinks about Vigil. We're quite enjoying it though.

Seems to be the largest submarine on the planet.

We have taped Vigil…Look forward to starting that now.

We enjoyed Wayne on Amazon Prime.

I'm not the best at describing these things, but (thanks to a little adlibbing from google searches and trying not to go straight into spoilers...) it's a modern briskly violent classic black-comedy style show about a teen leaving home on a road trip to find his dads old car.

Yes, there are some failings such as the DCI not wearing any personal dosimetry on a nuclear powered sub carrying nuclear warheads.

And, be aware that this was filmed in uhd (4k) and if your recorder (for those taping the series) is only HD you'll lose the uhd enhancement which is worth seeing on a 4k TV. Or are we all 4k now?

Good god, no. Not even 4K in the cinema. Just end up with higher resolution **** ;)

OK seriously, next time I upgrade, it'll be 4k but not going to bother to upgrade to get 4k

No. But that's my main observation having come from that industry. However, we're also enjoying the series, and in particular Suranne Jones who, perhaps, needs to feature on that other thread

Not unpleasant. 'tis true

I had to read that a second time, slowly, to understand what you were talking about. I still don’t quite geddit! I’ll continue with my stone age telly. But I did stop using tape about 20 years ago! Funny how the old phrases still get used even after technology moves on.
