What is Stradale suspension?

Is it skyhook or just normal so doesn't change when 'sport' or 'race' is chosen?

Drove to Manchester yesterday and while 'she' was applying her lippy in the car 'she' said that is seems bumpyer than the GT/s

Suffice to say it cost me a pair of shoes from Selfriges:frusty6:

Happy to help, mind I have never driven a Stradale only sat in a 2 seater in the showroom.

It's a fixed rate set up.

Yes, it's firmer but in my humble opinion, much more preferable to skyhook. I never ever liked it in all the Masers I had. I have a lot more confidence with it.

Agreed, it is much more predictable and whilst it can be firm on uneven surfaces, the overall ride is very good. The Skyhook on my GTS was the weak point for sure

It's telling when one of the things the engineers do is bin the electronic suspension wizardry.

Eibach springs on mine from factory, the red ones. Not sure if that is standard. I'm sure the car is lighter too without the skyhook gubbins

They do indeed. I suppose the design committee demands supple ride, sporty ride and luxury and that means adjustable dampers. When the plan is more fast road focus, they seem to regularly go back to normal dampers.

I think its more you sell a "normal" model to meet expectations of multi-use and therefore options for "comfort" suspension or sporty, whereas the model that is made to be more driver focused is spec'd to have a more "purist" ride

I didn't express that very well, but I know what I meant. Enormously helpful, I know.

I know what you're saying Matt and with the Stradale being a more specialist car, they can afford to not try to please everyone with the comparatively hard ride. I find it tough going at times on poor quality roads but once on a decent surface, it's fantastic and way better than my GTS was which had Skyhook

Skyhook quite useful for me from the perspective of being able to "gently" ease my wife into increasing use of the firmer suspension mode, for when I eventually buy a Stradale...
