If I had to have only one car, an FF or GTC Lusso would be on the radar. However, it would have to be a dark coloured one to hide the rubbish bits. As a weekend/holiday car, there are loads more choices at that price point.

It is still there now at £45k. Did anyone actually go and view this from here and does it have a backstory at all. I spoke to the owner of the garage months back, he mentioned something about the drivers seat electrical adjustment being sortd out as it had failed and a 'few other things' but that was about it. All about age and condition with cars like these. The leading edge of the sills look like they have gone back to white from stones I guess but I have seen that on one local to me which was 30k miles and a stock GTS.

Saw that this morning. Never understood this. If it didn’t seem at 45k why the **** do they think putting the price up will help.
Couldnt agree more... considering the attention it has had on PH too, if there wasnt a bite from all those eyeballs on it, seems slightly odd to whack the price up again.
shame it isnt closer, i would trawl up and view it Just from a curiosity perspective. Been on sale for i think at least 5-6months now.

I think the price went up becuase the number of Stradale’s for sale went down. If I was selling it I would know I had reached all of the people who might want to buy it, and they didn’t. So now it’s all about new prospects, and they won’t know the price or the going rate.

As above.

These large groups will have a computer algorithm that sets the prices based on availability and similar cars for sale... I doubt most of the sales team know what the cars are worth or their spec/performance. It will be sell sell sell to get some commission above a low basic.

Yep, most car salesman have little interest in cars and less knowledge of what they are selling than a clued up buyer. In my moment of madness at the start of year when I was looking to sell the Maser, a blue M6 caught my eye. It took ages to sell and had four different prices (up as well as down) in that time - computer says!

I bet there are not many that will not know the price from before. Most wanting a car like this would know them well before deciding to buy don’t you think? These don’t tend to be bought on a whim by someone who doesn’t know the marque. Most would have also done some research on places like this or PH so putting the price up just doesn’t make sense.

I think like you they saw what has sold and adjusted. Still think they are having a laugh though.

I think we often over assume the intelligence level in the used car trade. As Safrane has said it is computer programme driven. It’s like with WBAC, they pay a certain percentage of CAP clean for different types of cars and vary that percentage over time. That’s why sometimes they can surprise and will pay more than a none over allowance provided trade in price. They did with my 4200 and Graypaul could not understand what they offered. My bank account did.

It's also DFS logic.
In order to say that they've reduced the price they have to have the item up for sale for a certain lentgh of time at the higher price. It will go back up after the Bank Holiday....

WBAC is an amazing thing as it’s owned buy BCA and provides them with complete market data on what’s in the pipeline and combined with their knowledge of the trade marketplace, they can move the pricing safe in the knowledge that they will get a minimum margin when they put the stock through their own trade system. It’s very clever and gives them a massive advantage over all their competitors.

Not to mention their auction commissions meaning they will very rarely lose.
