Sticky buttons - wow

So I recently purchased a 2005 Coupe for a very silly price that I could not say no to.

It was mechanically and cosmetically perfect (exterior and most of the interior) however it had one of the worst sticky plastics I had ever come across.

Fast forward a few days - took it in for a service at my Ferrari/ Maserati specialist and he told me that he had a new machine which completely stripped the stickiness off of the plastics and laser printed the logos back in place.

Haven’t got any before pics unfortunately but here are the results. The car is still going to be detailed as the interior was quite dirty so excuse the dirty surroundings.

Comes with a lifetime warranty btw...

That does indeed look an amazing job. No disrespect but judging by the rest of the interior surfaces I can imagine they must have looked pretty bad before.

Great result, well done.

Same question....where did you get them done? Cost?

There’s a guy who does them over in America who I believe pioneered this(StickyRX), he is great but quite costly especially with the shipping costs involved. There’s also another guy in Czech who does similar quality work(Car Plastix).

Thanks all- this was done in Kuwait and yes was not the cheapest- however it completely transformed the interor of the car.

It cost KWD 400 (around GBP 1,000) but he fixed every single plastic surface in the car including:

All AC vents (front, rear and upper dash)
Steering cover
All buttons (radio + ac + gears)
Gear shifter
Window buttons including side mirror buttons
CD cover

Will send pics once I have the interior detailed.

Emblem do this also and have recently done my friends 550 Maranello. I think they said they used a local chap in Bournemouth. Definitely worth calling them if anyone here in the UK needs this service.

How much did they charge for this?

He's just checked the invoice but that job is all bundled up with lots of other jobs on the one bill with one total, so it's impossible to tell how much was spent just on the sticky switches. But if you call Emblem (01202 722247) I am sure they can advise.
