As most of us know and or have experienced, sticky buttons can be part of living with a Mas. There are various topics spread around the forum on various model Maseratis. However what works one model may not work on another. To get some more overview is this list. Feel free to add a model chapter or products and experiences. Try to be as specific as possible on the product used (brand, name, process etc.etc) to help your fellow owners. Note this is mainly for DYI, sending it to Roland or the Czech outfit is not intended. I'll kick off:

3200GT
Works:
IPA 70% and 90%. Rubbing it down with a cloth works. Soaking over night also works but can be aggresive. Note: orange (door locking) and white (top vent) paint will rub off with IPA

Not so much:

Doesn't do diddly squad:
WD40. Does make it less sticky but only because it gets "greasy"

QPV5 - I actually had pretty good results with WD40. I also used 99% IPA which was great for getting off the really gunky stuff, then I used WD40 to finish off, I found this especially good when there was printed graphics as it was gentler and did not lift the paint.

Slight thread hijack. 2003 4200/Spyer: starting on the buttons and got this far. Gentle tugging suggests more than these three fasteners, the middle of which to mis-quote Andy Dufresne “that countersunk bolt has no place in this console”. Cross-threaded too, so signs of prior entry.

Could someone guide me or point me to what’s next to get the full console out?

I seem to remember Rod on my manual car (not sure if that makes any difference) there’s a fastener out of site when it comes to removing the gear lever area frame.
This video might help
