Steering wheel removal - Help choose my design - Final choice

Just had mine done although I am not sure now.

Right this is happening. Wheel will be re-moulded with the flat bottom as per the bottom pic.

So opinions sought as I’m curious on the consensus.

As far as the combination on leather / Alcantara goes top or bottom??

Yes leather where you have your hands most of the time. Royal did my Maserati wheel a few years ago. Good job and not expensive.

That’s all the comm’s with royal finished and I’m booked in. Just need to get the steering wheel whipped off this weekend.

Not exactly getting the top pic but it’s the basis of the design.

Should have done this years ago not sure why I even waited so long.

Agree. Not sure why you would want to pay to change a facelift wheel though with alcantara and leather anyway. The top looks much better than the bottom

you lost me on that one Iain can’t figure out if you prefer top or bottom.

I’ll be getting the bottom option but with the materials swapped around and leather will be perforated

Any update on the re-trim?

I just booked my wheel in with Jack @ Royal for the same flat bottom remould, perforated black sides with smooth black top and bottom, black stitching.
Example here with alcantara sides which will be substituted with perforated leather.

it’s due for delivery back to me today! Away with work though back tomorrow so I’ll stick some photos up on Thursday.

You will love it.. I remember when Jack did the steering wheel on my BMW 545i.. it was like a different/new car to drive with the fat rim and new leather! Look forward to your pics.

I’ve just face timed the wife and made her open the box

it looks reeeeal nice. She said it honks a bit ‘the same as our bedroom’ as on Sunday I put a load of panelling up with evo stick gripfill and its solvent based lol

itching to get home and have a proper look and feel now.
