Being the recent proud owner of a Spyder, I was curious to checkout any youtube videos about the cars, repairs and restorations etc. I came across this guy who has posted about 50 in depth videos of his journey to restore his car and I was simply gobsmacked with "his never give up" attitude with his last few videos concerning the rebuilt engine, I take my hat off to this guy, may not be of interest to everyone but it certainly impressed me, this is just one of his videos

There used to be one that’d park in the Mailbox in Birmingham, slightly lived in but very classy in an 80s way. I never knew they had 3 valves per cylinder.

18 valve engine and I think 24 valve on the later engines, I did read somewhere that Maserati were experimenting with a 36 valve engine in the mid 1980's but it never got into production

I've watched a few of his vids and he really put his heart and soul into that car.
Can't quite recall the specifics, but possibly something electrical is preventing the car from starting / running or a combination of electrical and mechanical and he's going to have to take the car to bits, to diagnose the problems. Complete heart breaker.

I think it's more that he entrusted some of the engine rebuild to others and they fooked it up, they are superb vids with great tips and info about rebuilding/restoring if you have one of these motors

Oh. Was that the problem? Even worse then.
There's a South African guy posts on here occasionally. Renovated a red coupe and put it up for sale.
I'd imagine he's quite an authority on all things biturbo ;)
If you have a dig around this page, you'll see his posts.
