I have noticed during my time on the forum that there are a fair few on here that not only have race cars but race them, some are even building them.
Although I don’t follow a particular motor sport I do enjoy it and it’s made even more interesting if I know someone in the track.
I can’t find a thread dedicated to this but though it would be great to have one where owners and particularly those you race could let us know what they are up to and perhaps even get a few of us attending to support them.

You should have come to Modena with us for the centenary; there was plenty of street racing around there. It was an absolutely brilliant trip, and lots of sh!ts and giggles were had by all especially through the Alps on the way there.

That would have been great and I love to play a little, Le Mans was great and I hope to get confirmed for 2021.
I do recall a little blast from the orchard to the ace when I tried to get away from a particular Audi TT - that was never going to happen and I ran out of skills balls and hp very quickly ;)

Tbf, not a lot gets away from that particular TT. I’ll be keeping it for back lane blasts despite whatever comes along for the Euro jaunts. :D

How did your recent speeding offense go, hopefully not too bad and you are still on the road.

Race my AM DB4 GT at many historics pre COVID. Goodwood, Silverstone, Donnington, Spa and of course Le Mans.

So obsessed with the latter I bought the ex hotel opposite the Hotel de France in La Chartre as rental apartments for the races, hence my avatar. Looking forward to BAU returning in 2021

Is yours the white one that got crashed?
No, that’s Tom’s. He tried very brave overtaking and left his braking too late the following year and back ended it into the barriers. I’m not that brave or wealthy enough to sort out the resulting Armageddon.

I race my MX5 mk1 1.8, in Sprints across the South East.

The wife races it as well.

It's a great way to enter grass roots motorsport, it does not cost too much, and you can pretty much use your daily driver.

You do however need race suit, gloves and helmet.

You get everything from my MX5 to quite amazing rally and single seater taking part

Also, I did not want to do wheel to wheel racing, mainly for safety issues. Though I admire and watch it.

Great fun
